about samhello! i’m sam, the single soul behind pan + pantry. from a young(er) age, i always wanted to be in the kitchen helping make cookies or dinner salads. with time, i started making full meals, much to my parents' delight, except for after dinner... let's just say i’m a firm believer of “i cook, you clean!” i enjoy cooking up new recipes, tending to my herb and tomato garden, and attending local farmers markets.

about pan + pantry
when i started pan + pantry in october of 2018, i knew i had to be creating content that i am proud of. on early, unpublished versions, i was drafting recipes for things that i thought others would like. because i had no real interest in these, nothing got done, and i wasn't proud of the little work that I actually completed. i know now that i have to fully dedicate my time to content i am interested in. my goal with p + p is to create recipes i genuinely enjoy and to write about things that matter to me within the food sphere.
recipes will be under pan. pantry is for anything that requires minimal to zero cooking. my favorite (pantry) items, restaurant reviews, interesting ingredients, and miscellaneous posts will be here.
on most of my recipe posts, you won't find a long story before i get to the recipe like you do on many food blogs. i write blog posts to share things that bring me joy with you, and i will only include long-form content if i believe it will bring a smile to your face or the information is actually useful.
