4 farmers market favorites

Today was a rainy, cold day, but my mom and I braved the weather to get to one of my favorite places, the Memphis Farmers Market. While MFM isn't a year-round farmers market, they had their annual Holiday Market today (the cold weather today reminded me why they don't do it year-round). My Holiday Market purchases are available during the usual season of MFM so if you didn't get out today, you still have other chances to grab these local finds. Everything on this list is not produce, as the Holiday Market was mainly pre-made food or non-food related items.

Carrington's Catering: Peppery Blue Cheese Fig Bites

My family (minus my picky brother) LOVE these. We don't get these every time we go to the farmers market (which is almost every weekend during the MFM season), but when we do get them they are gone within 24 hours.

Dave's Bagels: Soft pretzels

Dave's Bagels makes pretty darn good bagels and their pretzels are just as tasty. I've gotten the pretzel bites on several other occasions, but those sold out before I made it downtown, so we went for the pretzel twists this time. They keep well in the fridge if you are going to eat them within a week but otherwise freeze really well too. They are usually at the Cooper Young Community Farmers Market, which runs year-round and the MFM when in season.

All things pie and more: Christmas chocolate chip cookie dough pie

Christmas. chocolate chips. cookie dough. pie. how could it be bad?  All things Pie and More is also at the Cooper Young Community Farmers Market, and is owned by the same people as Farm House Barkery. Louise, our spoiled rescue dog, devours their treats.

tamboli Produce: everything.

Almost every time we get out to a farmers market, whether that be Memphis Farmers Market downtown or Cooper Young Community Farmers Market, Tamboli Produce is always on our list of things to check out. From pumpkin flowers and basil to fresh pasta and mozzarella, we've never gotten anything we didn't like.
