- product, affiliate code - Long time no see, blog! After a crazy couple of weeks, I'm trying to get back on schedule. Throughout these hectic weeks, I have needed to throw together quick dinners within 10-15 minutes. That's where Hungryroot came in. All of the Hungryroot meals that I received were on the table in less than 10 minutes. From veggie flatbreads to filling "rice" bowls, Hungryroot has a lot of unique, distinct meals with some of the same pre-prepared or pre-prepped ingredients. All of the meals, snacks, and desserts that Hungryroot offers for weekly delivery are free of artificial preservatives, sweeteners, colors, or additives, trans fats, refined sugars, ingredients no one can pronounce, + more 'bad stuff.' The two boxes that I have had so far were both small boxes, but that is not what I would call them. For my first box, I did not customize my box - I let Hungryroot decide what I'd have for the week. It had 7 meals for 1-2 people, including two breakfast cups and one no-cook meal. With both my mom and brother having nut allergies, the only specification I made was that I wanted the meals to be nut-free. On my second box, I decided to customize it in order to see all of the options that Hungryroot offered. This time I chose 4 meals for 1-2 people and 3 "extras," like chicken sausage or spinach and artichoke chickpea dip. Because each Hungryroot box has so many dishes in it, I believe that a small box would work for 2-3 people or even a 4-5 people household. The dishes are great on their own but would also be great as sides to a protein like chicken, steak, or even tofu.
